Description
Ainsworth & Butler Planing Mill, Orange, California, 1903. Image shows view of planing mill, located on two acres north of the Santa Fe Depot just off of West Chapman Avenue, in the City of Orange. Several men are standing in front of the mill, next to a horse-drawn lumber wagon. F.L. Ainsworth and Frank Butler opened their lumber company in 1902, and added the planing mill in 1903. Photograph appeared with advertisment in the July 1903 "Orange Post" newspaper.
