From the Joseph R. Knowland collection at the Oakland History Room, Oakland Public Library. Depicts a portion of Lake Merritt "now crowned by the Embarcadero between Grand Ave. and Lakeshore" The homes of Charles Newton and Anthony Chabot are visible in the distance. The picture was made from the 12th St. Dam, looking north. Number in collection : 200.
