John Hanna feeding the chickens at his citrus ranch on South Los Angeles St., (later Anaheim Blvd.) in Anaheim; view shows John Hanna standing in his yard holding a feed basket with chickens at his feet, accompanied by three of his grandsons, all of whom are dressed in overalls and wearing hats; the grandsons are indentified, left to right, as George Hagar [son of daughter Julia Nye and George H. Hagar] of San Francisco (who became a corporate lawyer), Henry Dean Polhemus Jr. [son of daughter Emma Martha and H.D. Polhemus] (a became a rancher) and Gerald Hager [son of daughter Julia Nye and George C. Hagar] (who became Vice-President of the Pacific Gas and Electric Company of San Francisco); trees and a corral with horses are visible in background.
