Description
Noting it is Bird's judgment that the colleges should have been asked to handle the student relocation [see Bird´s letter Dbase #189], Pickett writes that American Friends Service Committee has no part in the decision-making. Pickett, however, suggests the fact that considerable scholarship funds would be needed from church groups might have influenced [Milton] Eisenhower's decision to ask American Friends Service Committee. Pickett also writes he regrets very much that Bird would not be able to attend the May 29 meeting.
