Description
Craftsman Bungalow style home located at 464 South Center Street, Orange, California, August, 2003. Image shows front view of the house, which was designed and constructed in 1921 by Orange Contracting and Milling Company for William C. and Irma H. Schleuter. William was a salesman at the Orange Hardware Company. The single-story Craftsman has wide clapboard siding and double entry front-facing gables. The forwardmost gable forms an entry porch overhang supported by thin wooden posts. A photograph of the home is on page 35 of "Beautiful Orange Homes," a brochure from the early 1920s promoting the Orange Contracting and Milling Company. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. Photographic print B&w 12.6 x 17.6 cm
