Description
Picture of Alvina Elementary School, constructed ca. 1912. The Alvina District was formed in 1912, and though affiliated with the Caruthers High (later, Caruthers Unified) School District, has been maintained as a discrete district. The present Alvina school is located west of the intersection of Saginaw and Elm avenues.
