Description
Looking at El Miradero, the Brand mansion, through the entry gate. The stuccoed entrance gate, like the mansion, is in the Saracenic style with cement plaster surfaces, minarets, and ogee arches. The driveway leading to the mansion is lined on both sides with tall palms. El Miradero was the home of Leslie C. Brand until his death in 1925 and his wife, Mary Louise Brand, until her death in 1945. Brand deeded his home and property to the City of Glendale. 7/51 handwritten in pencil on verso.
