Description
Berkeley Station (a railroad station) viewed from the southwest. The station, with a simple sign that says "BERKELEY', is to the right. Behind it are buildings along the east side of Shattuck Avenue between University Avenue and Center Street. In the center of the frame is a building identified by an "IOOF" sign. To the right of it is a building with several signs, one of which reads: "D. L. JUNGCK REAL-ESTATE / INSURANCE." Another sign reads: "HOUSES & LOTS / BUSINESS LOCATIONS / FACTORY SITES." The large building at the corner of Shattuck and Addison has a sign that reads in part: "MASON - McDUFFIE COMPANY." To the left of that is a sign that reads: "H. D. IRWIN REAL ESTATE." There are horse-drawn wagons and several people in view.
