Title from item. Ingersoll's stamp on back: "Ingersoll, photographer studio, 1069 Broadway, Cor. Of Twelfth Street, Oakland, Cal." Laurentine Hamilton founded the First Unitarian Church of Oakland, after survey Mount Hamilton near San Jose, which is named for him and abandoning his Presbyterian ministry after facing charges of heresy for his Darwinist sympathies.
