Description
A 1913 Craftsman Bungalow style home located at 230 South Grand Street, Orange, California, August, 2003. Image shows front view of the house which was designed and constructed by Orange Contracting and Milling Company for Henry Dahnke. The one and one-half story Craftsman has lap siding and a single-gable roof with side-facing vent. The main roof extends forward to form a half width porch supported by tapered wooden squareds columns on lap porch surround, and the north half has a large fixed window. A photograph of the home is on page 54 in "Beautiful Orange Homes," a brochure from the early 1920s promoting the Orange Contracting and Milling Company. House was added to the National Register for Historic Places in 1997. 3000 x 2000 pixels
