Description
Double half-length portrait of brothers William T. Glassell (1831-1876) and Andrew Glassell (1827-1901) taken around 1855 at the Steekel Photography Studio, Los Angeles. William is on the left dressed in the uniform of the United States Navy and is resting his left arm on the chair that Andrew is sitting in. Andrew is on the right dressed in a suit. Both were instrumental in the formation of Orange, California. [See also G006 for single image of William T. Glassell]
