Description: May Festival parade wagon, Orange, California, 1933. Image shows four people in pioneer costumes riding on a horse- drawn four-wheeled wagon. Theme for parade was Spirit of the Gay '90s. Crowds are visible in background along the sidewalks in the 100 block of North Glassell Street, with the Bank of America (102 North Glassell Street) at far left and Simon's Drug Store (106 North Glassell Street) at far right. The May Festival, which began in 1933 and also included the May Day Parade, continued to be held until 1991.
