Description
Color slide of Santa Claus and five children on the "Santa Float" during the 1974 Christmas Parade in Mission Viejo, California. Santa Claus is sitting high upon the float in a large green chair and is waving. At his feet on the green chair are two children who are also waving; they are wearing red hats and might be dressed up at elves. There are three other children standing on the float; the tallest is a boy who is looking at the camera, the little girl is looking at the spectators, and the smallest boy is looking at Santa Claus. The float is decorated with tall candy canes. The lower right part of the photograph shows people walking along side the float; some of them are wearing Santa hats. There are two labels on the frame of the slide, one is covering the other; the legible label reads, "74-039, Frame 017." Handwritten on the frame is "X-mas Parade Santa Float."
