Description

VanAtta A label is on back of both photographs reads as follows: "Views of the SANTA ANA VALLEY MID WINTER FRUIT AND FLOWER FESTIVAL, held at Santa Ana, January 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th, 1886. Photogrpahed by CLAUSEN & BERKEMAN, Los Angeles, Cal." Lower right corner has a number 4 in ink. Right far side has bottles stacked on a table, with a cloth covering the table and a grape vine wound around the cloth; next is a large cask/barrel stack with bottles, the label on cask/barrel is Wille & Albrecht, Anaheim, Cal., a smaller cask/barrel is next to it and is stacked with eight smaller cask/barrels with spigots.The top of the smaller casks/barrels has a lamp and the other has flowers. A potted plant is in between the two. Another table covered with a cloth and a grape vine around it has cases of various fruits on top. Background has a draped United States Flag and palm fronds. Foreground center is a banana tree, with calla lilies and other flowers in front. On the tree is hung a wreath with the words ANAHEIM across it. A lamp is sitting beside another table 3 trays, a display frame, and sitting on top is a framed dried arrangement. The center of the arrangement is in the shape of a vase filled with flowers. On the left is citus fruits stacked to resemble a tree. There are Cates in front and beside the it.
