Description
Black and white photograph of a female roller skating instructor standing behind a young girl and holding the girl's arms out to her sides. Both the teacher and student are wearing roller skates. The instructor is Kathy Parker, and the student is five year old Stephanie Kitner. The instructor is wearing a long sleeved shirt and skater's skirt. Miss Kitner was one of the first roller skating students to graduate from Mission Viejo Skateway's beginners classes. On the wall above the teacher and student is a picture of an old-fashioned, adjustable roller skate with a buckled strap; there is a boy sitting on one wheel and facing a girl sitting on the other. On the right of the photograph and in the background is a small group of people on roller skates. On the back of the photograph is written, "3-I, First Graduate, MVR March."
