Description
Plaza Park, Orange, California, ca. 1915. Postcard image shows bird's-eye view looking northeast across the park. An American flag is flying from the flagpole, and the original fountain is visible in center of park. The original three-tiered fountain, decorated with herons, owls and cat-tails, was installed in 1887 and later replaced in 1937 by a tile and electric fountain constructed by the Westinghouse Electric Company. Automobiles are visible in background parked along Plaza Square. Inscribed in white text in lower right corner, "Plaza at Orange Cal." Postcard Color 9 x 14 cm.
