Description
Albumen cabinet card of Olive Oatman, ca. 1860. Olive Oatman was captured by Indians as a child and lived with them for many years. The tattoo on her chin was a result of living with the Indians. She attended the University of the Pacific (then located in San Jose) in the late 1850s.
