The man on the right side of the photograph is Coach Mark Schubert, the man on the left side is unidentified. Shirley Babashoff is the swimmer on the right side of the photograph, Brian Goodell sits next to her. The swimmer on the left side is not identified. The legible inscription on the trophy that Mark Schubert is holding reads, "Senior Swimming, Men's & Women's Overall Team Champions, National AAU Short Course Swimming Championships." The unidentified man on the left is wearing a sweater that says, "Mission Viejo Recreation Staff." Mark Scubert wears a jacket that says, "Mission Viejo Staff." The swimmers wear sweatsuits with the Mission Viejo logo on the jacket. In the background is one of the swimming pools of the Mission Viejo Aquatics Swim Complex in the Marguerite Recreation Center. On the back of the photograph is a label with the following typed on it: "Nadadores World Short Course Indoor Champs. 4-15-75." Stamped on the back is: "Bob Krips Photography, South Coast Village, In the Mercantile Building, Telephone 546-3737.
