Accession number: P187 Photograph was used as a model by Millard Sheets, the mosaicist, who created the mural on the front of the Home Savings & Loan building (later Washington Mutual) on the SW corner of Lincoln and Harbor Blvds. in 1970. Photograph loaned by Atherton family member. Photograph re-copied by Ray Pound. Wedding portrait of Edward Atherton, owner of Atherton's Ostrich Farm, and his wife, Carolina J. Selinger Atherton on their wedding day; image shows frontal full-length double portrait of Edward in his tuxedo standing next to Carolina in her wedding dress and veil, their arms linked; the figures are standing next to an ivy-covered trellis along the side of a house, with a road and trees in the background.
