Description
A 1920s Fresno street scene looking north up J Street from the Mariposa intersection. J Street was renamed "Fulton" Street in October 1923 after financier Fulton G. Berry. The Helm Building, constructed in 1914, at 1101 J Street is in the foreground with flags indicating a national holiday. The Mattei Building is seen further up the street at 1177 J Street. San Joaquin Light and Power Building is missing indicating this photo was taken between 1921-1923.
