Description
Craftsman Bungalow, located at 855 North Cambridge Street, Orange, California, 2003. Image shows front view of the home which was originally designed and constructed ca. 1913 for Leroy F. Robinson, meat cutter at the Plaza Market, by the Orange Contracting and Milling Company. The one-story bungalow has a front-facing gable roof with lap siding on the facades. Wide square concrete posts support the half porch entry and ornamental purlins are along the roof. A large fixed window is at the right of the door, and another covered the front portion of the house. A photograph of the home was featured on page 14 of "Beautiful Orange Homes," a promotional brochure from the early 1920s that featured examples of design and construction by Orange Contracting & Milling Company.
