Description
Bird expresses that he is "deeply interested in the proper care of this country of the Japanese, residents and aliens, that in their necessary removal we may reveal in every respect the democratic idealism of this country." He goes on to ask that Snavey take on the task of coordinating the possible interchange of Japanese American students of which there has already been a number of communications. Bird describes the Matsunaga family situation as "illustrative in this matter."
