Description
An image of two workmen standing on scaffolding at the exterior of El Miradero's dining room window. They are either cleaning or painting the structure. This window and two-story tower is at the exterior west side of the former home of Leslie C. Brand. At the first floor level of the tower, there is a large fixed window with a transom. An inset ogee arch with undulating intrados and attached columns on the abutments frames the window. Above, there are two quatrefoils, two rosettes, and a clover-shaped foliate plaster ornament. At the time of this photograph, El Miradero is being converted into a library. The renovation took place during the mid-1950s, and the library opened in 1956. Title supplied by cataloger.
