Description
This eight page representative issue of The Denson Tribune, dated April 4, 1944 includes articles about the upcoming resettlement, draft dodging evacuees sentenced to prison, and several advertisements for jobs. The Jerome Relocation Center's semi weekly newspaper was published by the War Relocation Authority and included a two page Denson Jiho published in Japanese, at the back of each issue. The 1944 run held by Oxy includes many articles about the coming camp closure and the resettlement of internees to other camps, the Midwest and the East. One issue includes photographs of relocated Japanese Americans with images such as a family playing monopoly in their own home and people working as chemists, secretaries and mechanics.
