Description
This nine page representative issue of the Granada Pioneer dated November 4 1942 includes an article about self-government within the center, a map of the camp and a page in Japanese. The Granada Pioneer, the Granada Relocation Center's semi weekly newspaper was published by the WRA and included camp and world news, calendars, a sports section and a Japanese version at the end of every issue. It includes announcement about camp life such as " New Bridge Classes Open," and "Apply for Ration Book," and news from outside such as "Nationalization Bill Introduced in House." [Library has V. A, no 1-4 (Octob4er 1942); v.1, no. 1-111 (Oct. 28,1942 - Oct. 27, 1943)]
