Description
Black and white aerial photograph of Mission Viejo High School in 1966. The photograph shows the school during its final stages of construction. The exterior construction of the school buildings appear to be completed, but the buildings are still sitting on dirt with very little pavement and sidewalks around them. In the foreground of the photograph is an empty dirt lot and Chrisanta Drive. In the background is the Interstate 5 freeway, Cabot Road in Laguna Hills, and undeveloped rolling hills. In the lower right corner of the photograph are Monterey model homes, then located at the southeast corner of La Paz and Chrisanta. These model homes were eventually demolished. The photograph is one of four photographs on a proof sheet. Stamped on the back of the proof sheet is "Garth Chandler Commercial Photography, 883 West 20th Street, Costa Mesa, California, Telephone: 646-3071." "July 1966" is written in pencil on the back of the sheet.
