Description
Color slide of the swimming pools at Marguerite Recreation Center around 1972. In the foreground is a four-lane street divided by an island covered with lawn, trees, and ground cover. At the left of the photograph is a horseshoe-shaped swimming pool with lanes at one end and a cement walkway perimeter surrounded by a landscaping of lawn, trees, and ground cover. As of 2006, this pool is part of the Mission Viejo Aquatics Swim Complex used to train the Mission Viejo Nadadores. To the right and up a small slope from this pool is another pool. This pool is less visible as it is behind some trees. As of 2006, this pool is part of the Saddleback Valley YMCA on Trabuco Circle. Above the pools are buildings, some of which are Casta del Sol homes. The horizon consists of low-lying undeveloped hills.
