Eley and constructed in 1914 as the Orange County Poor Farm where residents raised their own vegetables, hogs and chickens and picked fruit from a 23-acre Valencia orange grove. Poor farm was phased out in the Depression as too expensive. Hospital was expanded in 1963, and the name was changed to Orange County Medical Center in 1969.
