The pool is in the foreground of the photograph, and in the background are some of the Recreation Center buildings, some shrubs, and palm trees. The Recreation Center building has a Spanish tile roof. This photograph is numbered "35" on a proof sheet of 12 proofs numbered 25-36. At the top of the proof sheet is a label that reads, "Casta del Sol Rec Center 9-74." On the back of the proof sheet is stamped, "The Association, 711-A #12 17th St., Costa Mesa, 92626, (717) 645-3840, Job # J-1689, Neg # 25-36." Handwritten on the back is "Casa [sic] del Sol Hawaiian Party."
