Description
Hewes Park aerial view, El Modena, California. Image shows view of park, located at La Veta and Esplanade, with landscaping and pathways, surrounded by citrus groves on all sides. Park was built in 1905 by David Hewes (1822-1915), capitalist, philanthropist and land developer, who hired Robert G. Fraser to design the park, which became a popular destination for Orange residents through the 1940s.
