Description
Color photograph of Mission Viejo's parade float titled The Water Babies in the 1979 Rose Parade Tournament. Charles Kingsley's children's story of the same title provided the theme for the float which depicts toddlers, fish, and seashells beneath the surface of a water lily pond. Also on the float are three women waving to the audience who are dressed in blue gossamer-like costumes. Behind the float are bleachers filled with Rose Parade spectators. On the back side of the photograph is written "1979" in blue ink. On the side of the float is "Mission Viejo" in white letters.
