The photograph shows the manager and the starting nine players on the team sponsored by the Greenhood & Moran clothing store that joined the California Base Ball League in 1886 as the Oakland entry, nicknamed the "G&Ms." Players include: (top row, left to right): infielders Tom McCord and Fred Lange, outfielder George Fisher; (middle row, seated, left to right): pitchers George Van haltren and George "Chief" Borchers, manager Tom Robinson, infielders Billy Smalley and Jack Ryan; (front, seated, left to right): catcher James A. McDonald and outfielder Danny Long. Negative number in Oakland History Room's collection : F-1196.
