Description
Wagons loaded with watermelons line up along Front Street in Turlock, California, circa 1905. Primarily mules, but also some horses are harnessed to the wagons. They and the men wait their turn to unload the watermelons at one of the packing sheds or a freight car at the railroad. In this photograph buildings and stacks of lumber of the Turlock Lumber Company are visible.
