Description
"Left, Ray Jones, architect, Right, M. Lawson, Center, Jack A. Ramsey, Library Director. Beginning remodeling 1955"--Handwritten caption on verso. The fountain, Boy with Dolphin, was a centerpiece in the solarium while the Brands lived in El Miradero, and was removed during the library renovation. The renovation took place during the mid-1950s, and the library opened in 1956. The Brand Library was once the home of Leslie C. Brand, and this room was originally the solarium. Title supplied by cataloger.
