Description
Crate label for "Tick-Tock Oranges", Villa Park Orchards Assn., Villa Park, California, ca. 1930. The color lithograph has a light blue background with gold border, and is illustrated with a dark brown grandfather clock at the far left. Printed in center of label is an enlarged gold clock face with a young boy with blocks in lower right corner. "TICK-TOCK / ORANGES" is printed in the center. Printed in upper right corner, "EVERY MINUTE / MORE POPULAR", in lower left corner, "PACKED BY / VILLA PARK / ORCHARDS ASSN." and in lower right corner, "VILLA PARK / CALIFORNIA." Villa Park Orchards Association was organized in 1912 and incorporated in 1913. The packing house was located at 10121 South Santiago Boulevard, Villa Park, California until 1967, when it moved into the former Santiago Orange Growers Association packing house at 350 South Cypress Street, Orange, California. As of 2003, it is still in operation. Lithograph Color 27.6 x 27.9 cm.
