Description
May Day Parade, Orange, California, 1989. Image shows open vintage automobile driving along crowd-lined street. Riding in the car and identified by signage hanging on car doors are councilman Fred Barrera, councilwoman Joanne Coontz, and Mayor Pro Tem Gene Beyer. The May Festival, which began in 1933 and also included the May Day Parade, continued to be held until 1991.
