Description
DOUGHERTY FAMILY PLOT, c. 1953. Since the 1880s, the plot has stood above every other tombstone in the Dublin Pioneer Cemetery. In an act of uncommon devotion, James Witt Dougherty even had his faithful dog, Carlo, buried there. Page 117, Images of America : Dublin, by Mike Lynch and the Dublin Heritage Center.
