Description: Color slide of the Altair 8800 microcomputer. The Altair 8800 microcomputer, based on the Intel 8080 microprocessor, was the first successful home or personal computer. It was designed to be expandable, holding up to 16 cards that plugged into 100 pin connectors on an expandable bus.
