Description
Describing life in Tule Lake Relocation Center, Kodani writes to her friend Moore about her job as a stenographer, the difficulties of living in camp, and the growing misunderstanding between internees and administrators. Kodani also writes that the media has been spreading exaggerated and distorted news against Japanese Americans. She further describes the food scarcity and unfair means by WRA officials to deploy the army against the internees. [Moore attended Occidental College in 1943. She and Kodani were childhood friends in Oxnard, California.]
