Description
A rare interior photograph of the Brand lodge or clubhouse. This was a recreational home situated behind Leslie C. Brand's main residence, El Miradero. It was designed by architect Charles J. Shattuck and completed in 1909. This image is of a large main room, no furniture, walls and ceiling paneled in wood, a lit brick fireplace and several light fixtures. The light fixtures are composed of two lamps with a decorative horseshoe in the center. The lodge was used by the City of Glendale for meetings and events. ""2-4-54. Mayor Bogue & Wm.
