Description
Black and white photograph of a steer being walked out of the back of a truck while a Mission Viejo couple and two Mission Viejo Company representatives watch. Thomas and Nikki Perry, the couple standing between the two other men in the photograph, were the 1,000th buyers of their Barcelona Homes house; to honor the family, Mission Viejo Company presented them with a 1000 pound steer. The man standing next to Nikki Perry is Grant Sullivan, general sales manager of the Mission Viejo Company in 1975. The man standing next to Thomas Perry is Bob Freeman, project manager. This group is standing on the sidewalk of the Perry's home as a girl, who is holding ropes that are tethered around the cow's head, walks the cow down a ramp at the back of a livestock truck. This story was published in the Mission Viejo Reporter, v. 10, no. 3 (March 1975), p. 6 with a different photograph. This photograph is number 13 on a proof sheet; on the back of the proof sheet is stamped "Bob Krips Photography, South Coast Village in the Mercantile Building, Telephone 546-3737. For Reorders Refer to No. 1933R."
