Title from inscription on the published version, a miniature view included in "Oakland and university," produced as a set of "Bardell Fototone Miniatures" by J.C. Bardell in San Francisco, 1923 and published for Pacific Novelty Co. Negative number in Oakland History Room's collection : F-816. Published as view card by Pacific Novelty Co. On back of item: O-229. The photograph captures a westward view across Skyline Boulevard from the summit of the Contra Costa Range overlooking Oakland's Rockridge and Forest Land neighborhoods prior to development.
