Description
The Free Church opened an office at 2355 Hearst, the original location of the Berkeley Center for Human Interaction."The North Side Office is free from noise, interruptions, rip-offs and scrubbing." In 1969, the Free Church followed a politicized church model in response to the People's Park situation, the radicalization of street people, and the campaign against the Black Panthers. They participated in peace movement activities, helped to establish the free clinic, began Win with Love directory, were the center of radical church activities, and established a close liaison with the Panthers.
