Description
A 1922 Cap Cod style home located at 607 East Almond Avenue, Orange, California, August, 2003. Image shows front view of the single-story clapboard bungalow with single side-facing gabled roof. The front facade has a small arched entry portico supported by large curvalinear brackets. The front door is framed by an arched frame. Two large multipaned windows flank either side of the main entry. The residence was designed and constructed by Orange Contracting and Milling Company for John M. Helmrich. A photograph of the home is on page 24 in the brochure promoting the Orange Contracting and Milling Company, "Beautiful Orange Homes" produced in the early 1920s. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. 3000 x 2000 pixels
