Description
Photograph from the Nakano family album. Asataro Nakano and Misao Gyotoku Nakano immigrated from Japan in the early 1900s. They settled in West Sacramento where they purchased land to farm. Their three children are: Margaret Shigeko Nakano, Ruth Kikue Nakano, and George Asato Nakano. The Nakano family and extended family members were sent to Amache Relocation Center during the Internment period. Upon release they settled in Denver, Colorado. Geraldine Setsuko Nakano was the daughter of George Asato Nakano and Mildred Uyemura Nakano.
