Description
Color slide of a woman riding a bull at the Challenge of the Sexes television program which took place in Mission Viejo, California in 1976. The bull is black, and his front hooves are raised several inches off the ground. The rider is wearing a navy blue long-sleeved shirt, dark brown pants, and a white cowboy hat. In the pen with the bull and rider stands a man wearing a cowboy hat, Western-style shirt, jeans, and a belt with a rodeo-Western buckle. There are two men standing behind a slatted fence on the left side of the photograph. One of them is dressed in Western cowboy attire like the man inside the pen. Behind the two men near the fence is scaffolding. There are two people standing on the scaffolding. One is holding a hand-held video camera while taping the event; the other person is standing behind the lense of a large television camera and filming the event. The frame of the slide has a label that reads, "76-019, Frame 004." This label is covering half of the photographer's stamp. The following is the information that is not covered by the label: "Spectra-Action, 18037 Midwest, St. Lou." "Oct 76" is also stamped on the slide frame.
