P. A. Stanton on his property at N. E. corner of Brookhurst & Ball Rds, now Anaheim, in the late 1890s. The corn was grown without irrigation. The horse is a Morgan mare raised by N. H. Mitchell, owner of the old Planter's Hotel at Anaheim.
