Description
Black and white photograph of three men and one woman standing next to one another and looking down at a whale fossil. The fossil is not easily identified in the photograph, and the people appear to be looking at the top of a large boulder. The man at the far right is Mark (Ziggy) Wilczynski, and he is pointing at something on the fossil with his left hand. The man second from the left is Dr. Barnes from Saddleback College. The permanent display location of the whale fossil at the northeast corner of Chrisanta and La Paz became Mission Viejo's first historical monument. The back of the photograph is very lightly stamped with "The Association, 711-A #12 17th Street, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, (714) 645-3840."
