Description
Thistle Towel Factory, M. Eltiste proprietor, located on the southwest corner of Cypress Street and Almond Avenue, Orange, California, 1929. Image shows interior view of the towel factory with women sewing, folding and weighing towels at long tables. The building previously housed the West Coast Textile Company, which went bankrupt and was purchased by Michael Eltiste. By 1931 it became known as the Eltiste Textile Mills and in its last years in the mid-1930s, it was known as the California Textile Mills.
