Description
May Festival Parade, Orange, California, 1941. Image shows several people riding in Terry's Body Shop horseless carriage automobile with signage reading "TERRY'S / BODY SHOP / 24 HR. TOW SERVICE / 420 West Chapman Avenue in Orange, California. Watson's Rexall Drug store on the corner of South Orange Street and East Chapman Avenue / Orange." Crowds are visible on sidewalk in front of Alpha Beta Market in background. The May Festival, which began in 1933 and also included the May Day Parade, continued to be held until 1991.
